Hi guys!!

A short update of the past trip...

We had our FIRST open water trip of the year in the September break at Tioman Island! We're also very glad to have 9 students complete their Openwater Divers Course, 2 students and 2 teachers complete their Advanced Divers Course with us this time! :)

It's always a joy to introduce students to the awesome underwater world. Year after year, would-be divers come on trips like these with us and each time, yet the satisfaction of seeing students become new divers never fails to put a smile on our faces. So Live to Dive on people!!!

Coming Up!

We have a dive trip planned on the 21st of November to Singapore's very own Pulau Hantu!

Spaces are VERY limited, so please email/text/fb/look us up to register!!! :)

The trip will cost $10 and we will be doing 2 dives. Things you can look forward to see are the well-known Sea Horses that inhabit Pulau Hantu and very little elsewhere, due to Hantu's year-round shelter from the monsoon.

There will be a trip during the September holidays from the 11th-13th! It will be at Tioman, so block out your dates and book your place now!

It's a not-to-be-missed opportunity to get your long awaited Openwater or Advanced Divers License or even just to do a leisure dive with us! :D

First Event of the Year!!!

Hello all!

As you all know, due to the outbreak of Influenza A, we had to postpone our dive trip. (GRRRR!!!) However, NP Divers Club had plan activities just for YOU!


Presenting the first event of the year:

3d2n dive camp 2009 !!!

The camp will be held right after your CTs. Isn't that shiok?! Double yayness!!

Held on June 14 - 16, 2009 (Sunday - Tuesday)

Accommodation will be at Kismis Apartments.

Food will be provided. (pss! Bear in mind, we got a wonderful chef around!) Kindly let us know if you have any special preference.

At the same time, we planned a try-out dive just to prepare you before we hit the big blue sea. So do remember to bring along your swim gear!!

We'll be selling our club singlet @ S$12. Do tell us the size you need, alright?

Don't hesitate! CCA points will be awarded!! YAY!! Confirm your attendance ASAP! You wouldn't want to miss out great fun with NP DIVERS' CLUB!

Urgent Notice!!

Hi all,

I have received an urgent update from the school and I regret to inform you that due to the current Swine Flu outbreak in the North Americas, the school has decided to postpone all overseas trips. Thus, our upcoming trip to Malaysia will also be postponed as such. Pool sessions and theory lessons will be postponed as well.

This is due to the potential risk of catching the highly transmittable Influenza A virus, which can spread from human to human through droplets or contact. Suspected cases have appeared in Indonesia and there are 1 confirmed cases in both Thailand and South Korea.

Nevertheless, we are looking forward to when the order is lifted, and we can then resume our much awaited dive trip! Do check back often for updates as we will post details of the trip as soon as we receive the go-ahead.

The dates for openwater lessons are:

Theory Lesson - 15th May
Pool Session - 17th May [9.30am to 2.30pm or 3.30pm to 8.30pm]
Dive Trip - 22nd to 24th May, 29th to 31st May**


**please note that the trip on the 29th to 31st May will happen only if there is overwhelming response on the first trip, 22nd to 24th May.

**UPDATE** trip from 22nd to 24th May is FULL. There are limited slots left for second trip, and priority will be given to those who confirm with me first! (94247233 - kang)

Payment details for the trip are as follows:

$470 -openwater course

$281 - leisure dive (eq. not inclu.)
- $40 BC& Reg
- $60 Full set (mask, fins, BC, Reg and wetsuit)


I will be at the clubhouse on:

Wed (29th April) - 1pm to 5pm
Thurs (30th April) - 12pm to 2pm
Monday (4th May) - 4pm to 6pm

The clubhouse is at Block 73, Level 4
